OPEN STAGEOpen Stage is usually held the 2nd Sunday of each month, with a few exceptions. For more information, please Check the Event Calendar HOSTED BY WATTLE & DAUB at the Grayslake Heritage Center Sign up begins at 6:00 Music starts at 6:30 Suggested donation: $3 Anyone who would like to perform is encouraged to do so. Non-performing listeners are always encouraged, and will be pleasantly surprised with the diverse musical styles represented.
Sign up begins at 6 PM. The first 12 performers get to do two songs (no more than ten minutes total). After the 1st 12, we fit in as many one-song performers as time allows. We wrap things up at 8:30. You’ll never find a more supportive audience than at the LCFC. Each performer is allowed up to two songs spanning about 10 minutes. If time permits—and it often does—artists can perform an additional song near evening’s end. Our open stage nights are a fertile "training ground" for musicians and songwriters looking to hone their performance chops. |
SONG CIRCLEHOSTED BY LCFC MEMBERS
Music from 6:30 – 8:30 Suggested donation: $3 Come out to play or just listen. Members and non-members are always welcome. One of our friendly hosts will keep the ball rolling. It’s a casual no pressure opportunity to kick back, play some music and meet others. The participants form a circle, and each one in turn can choose to play a song or politely pass. It’s a chance to lead songs or to join in with others. We keep moving around the circle until it’s time to call it a night. |

BLUEGRASS JAMHOSTED BY SCOTT ENGSTROM
Music from 6:30 – 9:00 Suggested donation: $3 Scott Engstrom hosts our Bluegrass Jam occasionally, when we can squeeze one onto the calendar. Bring a couple of 'grassy tunes to share, or just come to follow along with the pickin' and singin' (or just to listen). Toe-tapping, arm-flapping and boot-stomping are not discouraged! It’s a casual atmosphere with friendly folks of all 'grass-levels' who want to play some ensemble music and meet other musicians. The circle kicks off at 7PM, with each member calling and leading a song or politely passing the baton. |
