MARK DVORAK
Mark Dvorak is a modern day troubadour who has been called “a folk singer’s folk singer” with an “encyclopedic knowledge of traditional songs.” His natural style of performing can make an old song sound new and a new song sound familiar. Entertaining warmth, sincerity, distinctive talent and variety in presentation have distinguished Mr. Dvorak as one of today’s most important folk artists. And we are happy to have him grace the LCFC stage once again. Mark’s concerts are a mix of the familiar and the new. Playing country blues guitar and masterfully picking old-time banjo, he interweaves traditional standards from the American songbook with his own well-crafted and often poignant originals. This show is not to be missed. Opener: WATTLE & DAUB |

OWEN WALSH
Owen Walsh has been telling stories and performing music his entire life. Born and raised on the banks of the Lackawaxen River in Honesdale, Pennsylvania—a small, historic coal-mining town—Owen grew up surrounded by relics of 19th Century American life and imagery ripe for musical exploitation. Owen began playing violin at the age of three, studying formal repertoire. At 12 years old, he found his dad's dusty, old Epiphone guitar tucked away in a closet and taught himself how to play. Soon after he learned his first few chords, Owen began writing songs. He's followed in the long tradition of Americana folk music, in which lyrics are equal in importance to the melodies that bind them. Opener: TBA |
